Assouad Type Dimensions in Geometric Analysis

We consider applications of the dual pair of the (upper) Assouad dimension and the lower (Assouad) dimension in analysis. We relate these notions to other dimensional conditions such as a Hausdorff content density condition and an integrability condition for the distance function. The latter condition leads to a characterization of the Muckenhoupt Ap properties of distance functions in terms of the (upper) Assouad dimension. It is also possible to give natural formulations for the validity of Hardy–Sobolev inequalities using these dual Assouad dimensions, and this helps to understand the previously observed dual nature of certain cases of these inequalities. peerReviewed

On some partial data Calderón type problems with mixed boundary conditions

In this article we consider the simultaneous recovery of bulk and boundary potentials in (degenerate) elliptic equations modelling (degenerate) conducting media with inaccessible boundaries. This connects local and nonlocal Calderón type problems. We prove two main results on these type of problems: On the one hand, we derive simultaneous bulk and boundary Runge approximation results. Building on these, we deduce uniqueness for localized bulk and boundary potentials. On the other hand, we construct a family of CGO solutions associated with the corresponding equations. Variational parabolic capacity

We establish a variational parabolic capacity in a context of degenerate parabolic equations of $p$-Laplace type, and show that this capacity is equivalent to the nonlinear parabolic capacity. As an application, we estimate the capacities of several explicit sets.

The action of a compact Lie group on nilpotent Lie algebras of type {{n,2}}

Abstract We classify finite-dimensional real nilpotent Lie algebras with 2-dimensional central commutator ideals admitting a Lie group of automorphisms isomorphic to SO 2 ⁢ ( ℝ ) ${{\mathrm{SO}}_{2}(\mathbb{R})}$ . This is the first step to extend the class of nilpotent Lie algebras 𝔥 ${{\mathfrak{h}}}$ of type { n , 2 } ${\{n,2\}}$ to solvable Lie algebras in which 𝔥 ${{\mathfrak{h}}}$ has codimension one.

The kinetic studies are reviewed on low-pressure polymerization of ethylene over two types of organovanadium catalysts, viz., MgCl 2(THF) 2/VCl 4/Et 2AlCl and MgCl 2(THF) 2VOCl 3Et 2AlCl, each deposited on a magnesium carrier. The polymerization rate was found to be directly related to the catalyst and monomer concentrations (Figs. 2 and 3), unless when the access of the monomer to the reactive V-C bond is restricted by diffusion. Polymer chain termination step was found to result from the reaction of the transfer onto the monomer and to be associated with the regeneration of the active site on which a new macromolecule can be formed. Linear Types for Higher Order Processes with First Class Directed Channels

Abstract We present a small programming language for distributed systems based on message passing processes. In contrast to similar languages, channels are one-to-one connections between a unique sender and a unique receiver process. Process definitions and channels are first class values and the topology of process systems can change dynamically. The operational semantics of the language is defined by means of graph rewriting rules. A static type system based on the notion of linear types ensures that channels are always used as one-to-one connections.

Šī pētījuma mērķis ir uzsvērt ES un ASV tirdzniecības dinamiku un paredzēt tās gaidāmos scenārijus. Metodoloģija ietver teorētisko un empīrisko analīzi. Pārbaudot tirdzniecības ietekmējošos faktorus, tiek sadalītas OLS regresijas no tirdzniecības smaguma modeļa, lai pārbaudītu šādus piecus mainīgos: TTIP sarunu process, IKP uz vienu iedzīvotāju, kopējā zemes platība, FDI un kopīgā valoda. Kopējais novērojums ir 308, aptverot ES-28 un ASV laikposmā no 2009. līdz 2019. gadam. Regresijas rezultāti liecina, ka, izņemot FDI, pārējie četri pārējie mainīgie nav korelēti ar tirdzniecības plūsmu. ES un ASV tirdzniecības prognozes ir noteiktas divos virzienos. We review the recent progress in extracting the proton fluctuating substructure by studying exclusive processes at HERA, and the applications of these developments in the interpretation of the LHC heavy ion data.
